Creating Art Through Movement

Dance Class Programs

The art of dance is powerful. It transcends words and gives students a creative outlet for conveying ideas and emotions, making it a universal form of communication.

Providing dance, yoga, and exercise programs for Pre K-12 students, movement develops timing, balance, and coordination, along with exercise and physical development. Through various dance forms, students explore their own and other cultures, helping them appreciate the many artistic contributions of other countries.

Ballroom

Precision, poise, and self-control are foundations of dance. From waltz to tango to salsa, students learn steps and explore mechanics of timeless dances.

Step

One of most popular styles, step combines elements of African dance with precision and staccato movements. Through these techniques, students learn the value of creating a dance piece and the coordination it takes to move together as one.

Hip Hop

Hip-hop is proven to have more health benefits than any other dance form by working muscles while testing coordination and balance. Students learn how to “pop” and “lock” to their favorite music and artists with an artistic cardio experience!

Cultural Dance

Through movement and culturally responsive teaching practice, students experience the flair and flavor that is unique to a specific culture’s style of movement, from African Dance to Chinese Ribbon Dance.

Creative Movement

Intended for special needs learners, this program focuses on calming, balancing, and regulating emotions through movement techniques that incorporate freedom of expression and coordination.
